Our team has been developing cloud system «NexMed» since 2015. We have created a convenient and functional system to automate medical laboratories.

Many of us have worked in medicine before. So we have experienced all the disadvantages in how interaction is organized between clinics and laboratories.

We are striving to create NexMed to be something more than just Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Getting deeper into development, communicating with future users, adopting their experience we realize more and more the importance and necessity of what we are doing.

We are the first to create the solution for automatic addressed  biomaterials bar coding (without pre-printed labels). The barcode is formed in 5 seconds in the treatment room at the time of the patient's visit.

In case of tests without the participation of medical staff (urine tests, stool samples), the patient can independently mark their biomaterial through a «self-service kiosk».

Laboratory of the future today

1.  THE DOCTOR CREATES A LAB TEST PRESCRIPTION →

The doctor creates a lab test prescription in any medical information system (MIS), prints the hard copy with a bar code and gives it to the patient.

2. automatic BAR CODING AND SENDING TO THE LABORATORies →

The patient brings a lab test prescription from the doctor to the barcode scanner in the treatment room (or the bracelet with an individual bar-code in the hospital). The stickers are immediately printed in the right amount indicating all the patient's data, the nurse sticks them on the test tubes. After that treatment room nurse in automatic mode distributes biomaterials to contracted laboratories.

3. Conducting RESEARCH→

In the laboratory each test tube is scanned, both quality and quantity of the biomaterial are examined. In case of any defects, biomaterial is taken one more time without waiting for the results from the laboratory. The remaining tubes are loaded into the analyzer, which automatically receives the task and conducts the analysis, the results of which are sent to our system. After laboratory assistant’s approval the results are sent to the doctor.

4. GETTING RESULTS IN MIS

The doctor receives the results in the medical information system immediately after approval in the laboratory avoiding traditional logistics. The data is always stored in the patient's medical record.

Sending biomaterials to the laboratory is accompanied by automatically generated documentation, and semi-automatic acceptance in the laboratory allows to take only the material that does not contain defects and meets the standards.

This works as follows:
  • We send services to the laboratory
  • We print the automatically generated act of acceptance, and pass it to the courier. The laboratory accepts biomaterials by quantity and quality, scanning each tube
  • The status of the biomaterial changes in the system, and the act of defects is ready for uploading and printing

OF NURSES

Before each taking of biomaterial, the nurse is authorized with a personal QR code through our Docker. Thus, the biomaterial is linked to a specific employee and allows to determine who is to blame for the defects.

It 's simple:
  • Each nurse is issued an individual QR code
  • Before taking the biomaterial, they are authorized with a personal QR code.
  • The system displays the person responsible for taking biomaterials.
  • According to reports, we see the sources of defects
